Ships from the world of Sci Fi
« on: July 25, 2009, 08:12:50 PM »
As a way to demonstrate the flexibility of BTS! I am opening this thread for requests of ships from your favorite sci fi stories to be done up in the BTS! format. First up is the Executor class Super Star Destroyer from the Star Wars Saga. It truly is a monster!  8)

Well, lets pull from one of your novels, shall we?

Numerian Assault Destroyer Class Pyrnuer:  CR: 0
250wu /950pp /1BE   32 mos prod time
Industrial Upkeep: 1.1, Wealth Upkeep: 0.1, Fuel Upkeep: 5.2
AR 13/24 DR 13/14 AM 11/12 3 PP
TL 20, +5 FTL Drive: Jump, +10 System Drive Force Field: Grav-Drive, +10 Energy Weapons, +10 Armor, +10 ECM, +10 ECCM, +10 Agility, +10 Torpedoes

The class is designed to kill capital ships from close ranges, assuming it survives to get in close. Anything that it can kill, it can catch. Of course, the designers sincerely hoped that the reverse was true. That was unit it met up with Nephilim ships during the last Great War.

Numerian Ulanei Destroyer:  CR: 0
254wu /970pp /1BE   33 mos prod time
Industrial Upkeep: 1.12, Wealth Upkeep: 0.12, Fuel Upkeep: 5.2
AR 13/24 DR 14/15 AM 11/12 3 PP
TL 20, +5 FTL Drive: Jump, +10 System Drive Force Field: Grav-Drive, +10 Armor, +1 Point Defenses, +10 Torpedoes, +10 Energy Weapons, +10 Agility, +10 ECM, +10 ECCM, +1 Ship's Companies

This is the Standard Destroyer for the Battle Fleet and is one of the work horses of the fleet. It is used to compliment the battle line and work in concert with larger sensor capped vessels.

I suppose I should add the two most visible Terran ships from the Test Saga, the Des Moines Class, and the America Class.  :D

First up is the Des Moines Class Light Cruiser.

Des Moines Class Light Cruiser:  CR: 1,  30000CC
166wu /300pp /1BE   25 mos prod time
Industrial Upkeep: 0.1, Wealth Upkeep: 0.1, Fuel Upkeep: 1
AR 9/9 DR 5/4 AM 7/7 10 PP
TL 11.4, +5 Armor, +2 Point Defenses, +5 Energy Weapons, +1 Deck Capacity, +5 System Drive Reaction: Anti-Matter Advanced, +5 FTL Drive: Jump
Deck Capacity of 1.5 Aircraft Squadrons

The Des Moines carries a short squadron of 6 Interceptors. The extra Deck Capacity allows this.

Next up is the America Class Battleship:

America Class Battleship:  CR: 5
264wu /852pp /4BE   71 mos prod time
Industrial Upkeep: 0.4, Wealth Upkeep: 0.4, Fuel Upkeep: 1.7
AR 16/7 DR 12/4 AM 11/11 12 PP
TL 11.4, +5 Armor, +5 Energy Weapons, +2 Point Defenses, +5 Anti Capital Ship Weapons, +5 Deck Capacity, +5 System Drive Reaction: Anti-Matter Advanced, +5 FTL Drive: Jump
Deck Capacity of 3.5 Aircraft Squadrons

The America carries two short squadrons of Eagle Interceptors and two Squadrons of Thunderbolt Strike Fighters.

Sorry it took me so long to get to the Galactica, but I needed to wait for haegan to finish the latest changes to the unit maker. After seeing the unit stats, I had detrermined we had not factored in the combat power technology would give a unit. Sp presented first is the redone Executor. And as you can see, she REALLY is the monster from the movie!  :D

Executor Class Super Star Destroyer:  CR: 22F,  2200000CC
1114wu /4760pp /10BE   199 mos prod time
Industrial Upkeep: 1, Wealth Upkeep: 1.1, Fuel Upkeep: 4.7
AR 36/34 DR 27/17 AM 36/36 12 PP
TL 16, +8 Armor, +1 Fleet Command Ship, +8 Energy Weapons, +8 Torpedoes, +1 Bombardment Weapons, +8 Communications, +8 Sensors, +8 System Drive Force Field: Grav-Drive, +8 FTL Drive: Jump, -1 Reduced Shields
Deck Capacity of 100 Aircraft Squadrons

The Executor carries 75 Squadrons of Tie Interceptors and 25 Squadrons of Tie Bombers.

Up next will be the Galactica.

The Columbia Class Battlestar Galactica was a typical Colonial Battlestar that served in the 1000 Yahren War with the Cylons. Following the destruction of the twelve colonies, the Galactica was forced to dramatically increase the number of crew she carried, as well as the number of fighters she could bring onto the battlefield. The Galactica now carries a crew of roughly 5,000 military personnel, 480 of which are Viper fighter pilots. Galactica, in addition to her to original Viper squadrons now has additional Viper squadrons from the Battlestar Pegasus. The additional Viper squadrons joined the Galactica following the apparent destruction of the Battlestar Pegasus, boosting the Galactica's fighter strength to two hundred and forty Vipers. Galactica is still armed with her standard weapon system, consisting of 32 Turbo-Lasers and solonite missiles.

 CAPRICAN DOCKS COLUMBIA CLASS BATTLESTAR:

SCALE: Capital
LENGTH: 1,265 meters
TONNAGE: 20,000,000 metric tons
SPEED: .2C sub-light, .195 LY per week FTL
POWER:  1 Tylium energizer [7,360 Terawatts]
2 fusion reactors [43.8 Terawatts]
STANDARD CREW: 3496 [5,012]
124 officers [232]
2000 warriors - 240 are fighter pilots [5000 - 480 are fighter pilots]

PASSENGERS: 3800 troops
CARGO CAPACITY: 900,000 metric tons
CONSUMABLES: 24 months
MANEUVERABILITY: class C
HULL/ARMOR: 2.8 to 4 meters
EM-SHIELDS: 20% - 40%
SENSORS: Short/Medium range, sub-light, 200,000 m^3/s
SCANNERS: C at 300,000 kilometers
WEAPONS:  32 Blaster batteries
2 Turbo-Laser cannons
12 20 megaton Solonite missiles (anti-capital ship)
2 400 megaton solonite bombs (planetary bombardment)

FIGHTERS:  120 Starhound class Vipers [240]
12 Landram surface transports
12 Mk. VI space shuttles

Now the BTS! Stats:

Columbia Class Battlestar (Galactica):  CR: 16F,  450,000CC
448wu /812pp /4BE   55 mos prod time
Industrial Upkeep: 0.5, Wealth Upkeep: 0.5, Fuel Upkeep: 1.5
AR 17/18 DR 18/19 AM 24/24 16 PP
TL 14.25, +1 Fleet Command Ship, +1 Silos, +7 Armor, +4 Communications, +2 Point Defenses, +1 Anti-Ftr/Anti-Star Ftr, +4 System Drive Force Field: Grav-Drive, +4 FTL Drive: Conversion
Deck Capacity of 20 Aircraft Squadrons

The Galactica currently carries 18 Squadrons of Starhound Class Vipers and two Squadrons of Transports.

Comments and more requests requested.  :D

otherwise in "novel" SCI-Fi am loving "Dominic Flandry's and Terran Empire" ships.

I would not refer to him at all.  Or refer to "that comic book guy" so people know he is not really of this world.
