Armour Question
« on: May 29, 2012, 05:31:27 AM »
What happens to the adjacent armour blocks when a missile hits a spot where no armour is left?

For example assume a size-4 warhead hits an armour 5 tiles wide and 2 deep, causing the following damage (o intact, x destroyed):
Code: [Select]
oxxxo
ooxoo

What will be the result if a second hit of a size-4 warhead occurs against the same spot?

Will it be a) 4 internal damage, and an unchanged armour layout, or will it be b) 2 internal damage and 2 destroyed armour tiles (the one left and right of the hitzone)?

Assuming strength 4 warheads impacting on the same column
Code: [Select]
       initial    first strike   second strike
         #####        #xxx#           #xxx#
         #####        ##x##           #xxx#
internal   0            0               2

Essentially any weapon that deals damage over more than one column, has the damage allocated to each column according to it's template before it is applied, with internal damgae caused by any points of damage that are not used in destroying armour in the relevant column.

Maybe a month and a half ago. Or so. If it gets abused, I'll turn it off again.
