Oof.  Major crisis.  What you should do is launch suicide runs out the sol gate-- trickle a ship through it once a day (make sure you are inside the queen's scanner range) and suicide against the hull of the queen.  She won't notice where they're coming from.

Trust me.

(In this situation i would put my ships at the sol jump gate and pray for deliverance)

I have heard of queens jumping into other systems.  It usually only happens if there is nothing left for them in the system they came from, and yes it tends to be multiple queens when it happens.  Thank goodness they are so slow or it would be trully devestating.  Good for you also in putting in such a huge passive sensor post.

If your ships can take out the soldiers then you can try building lots of small box launcher style ships to overwhelm 1 queen at a time.  This does take a lot of missiles.  The other alternative is to build a lot of smaller ships with particle beams that can do damage from beyond the queens range, or develop mesons to the point they outrange the queens mesons.  Using particle beams is easier as it takes very little research to get even the small ones up to a range beyond the queens range.

Previously, I believed that Star Swarm would stay nice and cozy in whatever systems they occupied.
I was wrong.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is not one, but three seperate queens that jumped into a hub system 1 jump from my capital that I'd installed a level 30 listening post in just to be sure. Turns out I was right in doing so. My fleet is completely incapable of penetrating their shields, though luckily I was just starting the construction of my second generation warships.

My question is, has anyone else ever seen the star swarm attack through a jump point? How do I make sure they don't find the two-jump (gated) alternative route to my home system?
I think it's kindof cool though, this way I don't have to SM a civil war to keep things interesting.

EDIT: 4th one just jumped in.
