Title: do spoilers pick up lifepods?

I encountered an alien I thought was precursors, but then they snatched the lifepod from one of my ships they destroyed.  Will precursors do that?  I hadn't seen it in my earlier encounters.

Yes it seems that Precursors can pick up lifepods, although it seems quite rare.
