Registration Bug ?

I have been registered with Aurora since March 2010 but recently every time I enter the Aurora site I am greeted with the following banner - "It appears that you have not registered with Aurora 4X Games. To register please click here..."

This banner disappears  if i log into the site with my user name and password but can you advise why the banner should appear if I have been registered for a few years . Is it a website bug ?

For your further information I usually browse the Aurora site daily as a guest and only log in to make a post or view the statistics. However with this banner appearing the only way to remove it is now to log in every time I visit this site.

That only shows to guests. The site doesn't (or shouldn't) drop cookies on guests, which is why it thinks you've not registered until you log in.
