ALT+Print Screen should copy the active window to the clipboard.  You can then paste it into something like MS Paint to save the image.

As for the speedy ships, they're probably using hyper drives.  I didn't know the AI was smart enough to use them, but there ya go.  Enable the Show Hyper Limit (or whatever it's called) option for the System Map.  If the ships are inside the blue circle (centered on the primary star -- IIRC secondary/tertiary stars don't have them), then something's fishy.  Hyper drives are only usable outside that circle.

Hyper drive, never used them... ???
I presume that the hyper drive gives a boast to speed and that you can´t use weapons while it is engaged...

Can a small assault ship with a couple of marines board enemy shipping???
Ofcourse outside the star influence, that is... ;)

Does it go back to normal if you do another update of the same size?  There used to be a bug where the velocity calculator was remembering the position one time step back from where it should have - this led to weird reported velocities for the first update where the increment size changed.  I thought this bug was long gone, though.

It still happens that way when you lose sensor connection to a ship, when you find it again after a long pursuit, it traveled a half billion kilometers since the last increment. But what he has there might be hyperdrives.
As far as I know, though, they give a 10x Speed boost. How fast are they normally?

When approaching no more than 12500 km/s, and didnt lose sensor connection... But it stooped, for some reason and my missile hit it and destroyed it...
