Title: Downloading portable launcher at school triggers firewall
Post by: DaMachinator on November 07, 2016, 06:07:48 AM
Trying to download the portable launcher utility (the .zip file) fails, giving this error:

Quote
This request is blocked by the Firewall Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: Zegost.A_55 (Trojan)

This is both annoying and worrisome. I would like to believe that the download is not infected and that this is a false positive, but it is still highly worrying.

Yep. It is false positive. Caused by using sub-standard anti-virus software.

School firewalls are terrible. They block things that are safe/fine but don't actually block dangerous things/sites. In high-school my math teacher actually challenged me to get around the firewall, it took me all of 2 minutes.
