I think I am missing something - or else have found a bug. I designed the following ship:

Quote
Girraween class Recon Shuttle    495 tons     7 Crew     103.6 BP      TCS 9.9  TH 28  EM 0
2828 km/s     Armour 1-5     Shields 0-0     Sensors 1/1/0/0     Damage Control Rating 0     PPV 0
Maint Life 0 Years     MSP 0    AFR 99%    IFR 1.4%    1YR 45    5YR 673    Max Repair 72 MSP
Intended Deployment Time: 0.5 months    Spare Berths 5

Waadlex M14 EP NP Jet Engine (2)    Power 14    Fuel Use 320.86%    Signature 14    Exp 17%
Fuel Capacity 50 000 Litres    Range 5.7 billion km   (23 days at full power)

Anti Ship Active Sensor  4.000t 38.63mkm (1)     GPS 5760     Range 38.6m km    Resolution 80

This design is classed as a Fighter for production, combat and maintenance purposes

So far, so good. Build the first one and got this:

Quote
Girraween class Recon Shuttle    495 tons     4 Crew     103.6 BP      TCS 9.9  TH 28  EM 0
2828 km/s     Armour 1-5     Shields 0-0     Sensors 1/1/0/0     Damage Control 1     PPV 0
Annual Failure Rate: 0%    IFR: 0%    Maintenance Capacity 0 MSP
Spare Berths 8

Waadlex M14 EP NP Jet Engine (2)    Power 14    Fuel Use 320.86%    Armour 0    Exp 17%
Fuel Capacity 50 000 Litres    Range 5.7 billion km   (23 days at full power)

Anti Ship Active Sensor  4.000t 38.63mkm (1)     GPS 5760     Range 38.6m km     Resolution 80

This design is classed as a military vessel for maintenance purposes

Whilest there are still 12 possible seats only 4 of the planned 7 crew were used. Anybody an idea, why?

3 of the crew died somehow, or didn't get put in. the fact that the two displays are different isn't the bug(the ship one has specifics about that ship rather than the general class display), but maybe the loss of the 3 crewmen was somewhere.

I already posted this a while ago in the Bugs Reporting thread. Its something to do with small ships with less than a month deployment.
Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Ok. Has Steve said, which of the two numbers is the correct one? Makes it a bit hard to plan for free berth if you don't know how many crew your small ships will have... :)
