Every project I take on is noted there, with tasks and sub-tasks.
This would look like this:
And so on. Using text file means it's rather flexible and editable on the fly without any large programs or web access and I can see with a quick glance which project depends on which requirements. I also sometimes add notes to the lines if I don't think it's stated clear enough, for example if I need a ship to have a certain range.
