Space-time bubbles
« on: August 21, 2012, 05:35:37 PM »
I just discovered the advice to "freeze" the rest of the universe while fighting a long battle. One of the best tips I've seen. Is there anything to consider when using it, apart from switching it off again when you're done? Anything that could cause problems?

Yes- any research/construction/etc. won't happen while the bubble is in effect.

Nope. It's for combat only. You can't space-time bubble Sol and happily build and research away for 20 years. (Yes, I tried- some huge battle was going on in some unexplored system that was causing massive delays every 20 seconds.) Anyway, there's instant research and SM Add buttons anyway.
