I was wondering if anyone else has been getting a Planetary Display Overflow Error during some point in their game with displaying their home system.  I have redone my campaign twice now and still get this type of error.  The first was after going seven years and then the next time going nearly three years.   I did have a lot of freighters in my home system and three survey fleets of seven vessels undergoing maintenance.     Next time if I get this error I will do a screen print to show everyone... ??? ::) ???

Release note somewhere?

Heh. Steve doesn't do release notes. ;)

Mostly you can scan the suggestions/bugs threads for the prior version and get a reasonably accurate picture of what's changed.

I updated 4.91 to 5.14. I did the 'update to 5.14' thing ingame.
One day later I found out there already was a 5.20 Patch, so I installed that.
Weird thing is: the 'update to 5.14' option is still available from the dropdown menu.

Also, indeed, the narrowband sensors seem not to be in the game, except for the research line. I've researched it as well, but there's no option to be seen anywhere in the sensor design window.
The update to 5.14 shouldn't be there but I forgot to remove it. You can upgrade directly from v4.91 to v5.20.

Huh, you put in narrowband sensors after all? I thought you were just going to reduce the effect of resolution. Do they work as originally planned?
Unfortunately, although I removed narrowband sensors I forgot to remove the tech system. You can ignore it as it has no game effect.

Hi, I've a problem...
with 5.20 patch when I add same sensors, for example 2 geological survey sensor and 1 other sensor or I add armor rating, the "brief summary display" in class design page, disappear. With 5.14 it work very well instead.

My order of installlation is:
1)setup.exe
2)extract 4.91
3)extract 5.10
4)extract 5.14
5)update 5.14 by click.
6)extract 5.20

How can I resolve this problem?

Oh forgot to mention, I did use the 5.10 patch on 4.91 first, before updating it to 5.14

I've researched narrowband sensors, now where are they on the create research screen?

Are you looking on the page to design active sensors?  If they're not there, then this probably means that Steve actually didn't put them in, rather he accidentally left an extra line in the researchable-techs table of the DB (similar to the maintainence-production-rate one that was confusing lots of people a few months ago).

John

You have to research Narrowband sensors first.

Well, i have in my first game with the 5.2 patch, but i don't see anything about it in the design panel for active sensors, nor a specific design for it. I have missed something?

By the way, thanks for this update of your excelent game Steve. Its free, and i have passed more time on it than most of the commercial ones i bought big bucks. Damn this game is addictive.

Ps: Sorry, my english is not very good, but it is not my first language. ;)
