Title: Can a tug be too small?
Post by: undercovergeek on February 12, 2024, 06:37:20 AM
I have built a 2m ton space station with many arks on it, it is orbiting earth with no engines and is sitting in the 'mining fleet'

I have built a tug orbiting earth, sitting in the 'logistics fleet'

if i click on the tug fleet to give movement orders, the only halfway appropriate order is target specified shipyard and these are the actual yards for construction around the planet - there is no target ship or station order

is the tug too small or is it the fleet set up that stops them from seeing each other?

there is achecbox that will allow you to view fleets in the movement orders tab

By default, you only see planets and colonies on the list of 'destinations & targets'. You have to tick the checkbox for 'Fleets' after which the list will include all fleets in the same system. Then you can select the fleet that includes the station at which point the list of available orders will include 'tractor specific ship'.

The game will allow any tug to tug anything but it is possible to make a station big enough and a tug weak enough that it'll never get anywhere.
