SM add a ship to a fleet?

Is there any way to magically SM-add a ship directly to a fleet?  I.e. a ship that I have designed but haven't actually built?  After the missile duel was over I'm now caught in 5-sec hell and I would like to add a sensor ship to my fleet to at least see what is causing the holdup.  Yes I realize this is cheating but my anger rages.

PS - Please consider posting "How do I..." questions like this in The Academy so that Steve's posts about new game mechanics don't get [EDIT] diluted (THAT was an interesting typo - I'd said "deleted".  Weird).  Thanks!
