Title: Making a second player empire without F9

Hey there. So wanted to run some experiments (fighters, laser warheads since there seems to be a little promise with them)
Problem is, my laptop refuses to let me open system view (sun, f9) throws some error, i lack some dll that isnt included in win8 anymore.
I know there are buttons around for designing turrets and missiles for people who dont have large monitors. Is there a create empire option hidden around somewhere?

1) Start SM mode.
2) On the main game tab (the little one on start-up) click SpaceMaster then Add Extra NPR
3) Click Yes
However I believe it creates one like the generated NPRs on start-up. Not sure why windows 8 on a laptop is being bothersome for you as it is fine for me. I think the only way to get what you want is through the f9 window so you might want to find a way to fix that (someone else was having the same problem and he fixed it by using the portable version).
