:) I didn't knew that this was a campaign of a older version.
Maybe move it to a sub-forum, like "Discontinued campaigns"?  ;D

Anyway, thx for the reply.

Once I start working on a new campaign, I never post updates on any of the older ones.  Mainly because they are for older versions of the game so I can't go back to them.  Charlie knows that so he was helpfully directing you to the current campaign because if there was any recent or future update, that is where they will be.

I simply posted that here because V1D0 had just before made his post hoping for a new update for this campaign, as a response that I wouldn't be so picky about which campaign gets an update.  But I guess on the internet one should always use the thickest possible wire to bend a message out of, or somebody's going to misunderstand it.

Ah well.  Thanks for the reply anyway.

I fail to see how you could interpret my messages as if I didn't know that it exists or where they are.  I mean, the concept of me saying that I would be pleased to see an update to any of his stories shouldn't be that difficult to grasp?

That's what I meant by 'any update' - any story.

Steve's current story line is Race to the Stars, this campaign was for a previous game version.

That's cool. Don't worry about us - enjoy the time with your family! Tell your grandson many stories about dramatic stern chases until the magazines almost run dry.

G'Day Steve,

We haven't see any new stories in this forum for quite a few weeks now. Does this mean that campaign is over?

Later,
Matt

I've haven't been checking the forums for several weeks. Partly because we have been away but also because my daughter and my grandson have recently moved in with us, which means I have even less free time than before :)

Once I finally get some time, I'll try to get back into the campaign

Well, let's see. Japan's early start on exploration is reaping dividends, even if they didn't get all the salvage. Having a hidden new Earth is an awesome find, and I wonder if they'll pull an Eridani and migrate entirely :). On the other hand, as they've noted their fleet is uniquely unsuited for jump point interdiction, so if any power really wants to they could probably scout Epsilon Indi and find the jump point. I wonder if they'll start getting suspicious of the amount of cargo ships heading into the system.

The wild card is the aliens in Lacaille. The Japanese can't tell the world about them, because if they did there's no way their claim on Epislon Indi wouldn't be challenged. On the other hand, if the aliens come through the wormhole then the Fomalhaut colony could be cut off.

On the other hand, it's escalating a lot faster than I imagined, even for peaceful.  I hadn't expected any nation to get so far from Sol in just three years, but then again I guess some of the JPs are rather disappointing so it makes sense to keep going.  I dunno if any of recent versions changed anything with JPs, but it also seems in my more recent games I'm finding a lot more than I used to, making exploration quicker in general.
