The year started with a bang, or rather several hundred of them, as the mystery ship engaged Venusian vessels in between Earth and Luna, tracking stations for all factions noted a huge increase in speed to 2645 kps, a shield strength of 10, and a thermal signature of 10, no missile fire was noted from the vessel, and if it hit any of the Venusian fleet, it did not destroy them with whatever energy weapons it may possess. It was clear that in general however it's technology was vastly superior to any of the Solarian powers, the combination of speed, armor, and the sensor alone were far beyond what any other faction was capable of.
The Triumvurate fleet was using missiles with a warhead strength of 1, either they favor a swarm strategy or were being forced to use anti-missile missiles in an offensive role for unknown reasons, regardless, the vessel was destroyed without any apparent loss of life to the defenders.
The remainder of the year passed uneventfully as far as the public knows, with the exception of the Venusian Luna fleet bombarding Earth with a single missile salvo in late November.
