Interupted time increments.

In my game I can longer make turns longer than 1 day.   I went to SM mode and it said this was do to a possible fleet interception yet there are no NPRs in any system I have a presence.  Is this a bug or will it resolve itself etc.

Two NPRs are fighting each other, or are fighting spoilers.  As Steve says in the tutorial, set it on auto-repeating turns and go make a cup of tea.  There may be a lot of 5-second increments but eventually it will be over with.

Is there any way to modify what interrupts auto turns? When I try this I come back to find only 5 days have passed because 1 of my diplomats increased their skills on my coffee break.
