Truncated Posts
« on: December 19, 2007, 09:44:11 AM »
As some of you may have noticed, some posts have been truncated. The culprit is SmartQuotes from MS Word. The backup utility I use does not escape those characters properly. I've notified the author. And I've restored some posts. As time permits, I will restore more.

If anyone runs across a post that has been truncated, send me a message with the Topic Subject, and I'll restore it manually.

Aside from my Hokum - Chapter 1 and Terpla'ns Chapter 4 (which I reposted) all of my story chapter posts have been truncated.

Silly me thought about grabbing the backup file while I was at work, and then promptly spaced it. I will get to it. Most likely Monday, as I cannot see there being a lot to do.

looks like my Task Force CIC thread in Suggestions has both trucation and formatting issues.

I am seeing those too. Looks like everthing is being squashed into the righthand third of the page.

Eric - Just noticed that the Aurora Suggestions topic has 4 pages listed but I could only access the first page. Assume this is due to lost posts?

Regards
