Title: God damned self-guided missiles do not guiding at all!
Post by: luarvic on February 12, 2012, 09:05:46 AM
Okay, now im really mad! After hours of researching, designing and production i got absolutely useless pile of junk.  Here the design:
Missile Size: 8 MSP  (0. 4 HS)     Warhead: 9    Armour: 0     Manoeuvre Rating: 10
Speed: 57100 km/s    Endurance: 15 minutes   Range: 52. 0m km
Thermal Sensor Strength: 0. 105    Detect Sig Strength 1000:  105 000 km
ECM Level: 3
Cost Per Missile: 11. 4717
Chance to Hit: 1k km/s 571%   3k km/s 190%   5k km/s 114. 2%   10k km/s 57. 1%
Materials Required:    1. 5x Corbomite   2. 25x Tritanium   0. 105x Uridium   7. 3667x Gallicite   Fuel x2887. 5

They just stood there and waiting for destruction. . .
Im sorry, i know there is hundreds of topics about missiles but its just blows my mind, please tell me what is wrong with my missiles?

What's the distance from WP3 to the targets? If it is more than 105k km, you missiles cannot see anything to target.

That's weird.  And annoying.  Maybe it is because they are orbiting.

Passives are allus unreliable in this matter i find, i just use actives if i ever want a guided missile.

Delete the Waypoint after the missiles have reached it, otherwise the mines still consider this their target - and wont engage the thermal contacts at all.
