The Alpha Centauri class is the heaviest mobile combatant of the Martian Republic's Navy. Its newest generation 'Direwolf' missiles give it a reach of a 100m km, and the laser armament provides both antimissile defense and close range firepower should the magazines run empty. The heavy cruiser feature an experimental shielding system additional to their armor. There are currently four ships in service, Alpha Centauri, Resolution, Temeraire and Victorious, split between 2nd and 3rd squadron.

This design is classed as a Military Vessel for maintenance purposes
The Mermaid class is the escort designed in the same building program that resulted in the Alpha Centauri. It carries sensors for missile defense, counter missiles as well as railguns for final point defense fire. Currently there are six units in service, Mermaid, Magic, Ministrel, Mameluke, Mercy and Minerva, three units assigned to 2nd and 3rd squadron each.
