Anyone have any idea as to how many people are actively playing this game right now?  I have been playing on and off for a couple of years now and have started back playing basically everyday and trying to check the forums several times a day too.  Seems to be 10-20 people that are posting everyday, but surely there are many more that either don't use the forums, or just don't post.

A vague number might not even be possible, I was just curious.

715 never logged in.
237 users logged in within the last week.
331 users in the last month.
862 users in the last year.

I'd say there are ~300 users actively playing Aurora. But unless they all come in to be counted, it's only a guess.

I think a better counter would be numbers of downloads of the different versions.  You would have to make some uneducated guesses how many people downloaded, didn't like it and never played again and make a second guess how many active players re-downloaded to reinstall, install on a second PC or to repair a corrupted database.

I bet it is more then 300.  I hope it is more then 300.  I like being part of an exclusive club but would hate to find out so few people experience and enjoy Aurora.

Nope. Guests can download the game.

I only log in ( and out ) when I need to post a question or a reply , as now. The majority of the time I view the forum on a daily basis as a Guest so my true time on the Aurora site under my registered name is not shown in any statistic.
