Title: Question about terraforming.
Post by: Jacob/Lee on July 02, 2011, 02:39:31 PM
The "Max atm" input box specifically, does it mean all the gases in the atmosphere together or just the single gas being pumped in? For example, I am pumping oxygen into Mars with a limit of .300 atm. Will it stop when the atm reaches .300 or when oxygen specifically reaches .300 atm?

Oxygen specifically, in that case.

note that sometimes it can slighty overshoot-- I usually set oxygen to .11 and that way i will have enough oxygen to get breathable but not enough to go over the 30% limit (hopefully).

The max atm box is for the gas you are working with and does not include any other gasses that are present in the atmosphere.  Think of it as the partial pressure of the gas you are changing.
