Mmm, having some problems giving my tank battalions artillery support...  :-\

I can support my heavy tank company with the heavy MLRS battalion but not its parent tank battalion... ???

No problems giving mechanized infantry battalions support.

Aha, my MLRS are Long Range Bombardment, is that why it cant support a attack? My standard artillery does work...

The artillery unit providing the support needs to have the HQ capability larger or the same as the supported unit's. Perhaps that's the problem in your particular case?
