Anti Missiles not firing

Can anyone tell me why my anti missiles are not firing even though I have them assigned on PD mode

Thank goodness for point defence weapons, otherwise my ships would be toast. The thermal display as 12 but with no option to individual target them either.

The main reason that your anti-missiles are not firing is that your active sensor has a resolution that is to large to see the missiles exept at point blank range.  To fire on a target it has to be seen with active sensors.  Your resolution 160 sensor just can't see the missiles early enough to shoot at them.  You need a resolution 1 sensor to be able to shoot at missiles with other missiles.  It will probably be at least 3-5 hull spaces, and if you build a dedicated scout ship I would put one that was at least 10 hull spaces for longer range interceptions.

Also your amm have to much fuel on board.  If you change the extra fuel (more than .05 msp) to agility it will help your to hit chances.  At your current tech level a range of 5-10 million km is probably more than enough.
