New Themes

The next database upgrade for Aurora (and the first release of Newtonian Aurora) will include four new race themes and an upgrade for one of the commander name themes.

The new race themes are: Argentina, Mexico, South Korea and Turkey.

The Swedish name theme has been replaced by a new, updated theme provided by Martin Hedin - thanks!

No, I doubt it :(. It's still a long way from a state in which it could be released. A lot of things still to be added or modified. I might have made some progress while I was off over the holidays but we will have friends and family staying with us so I will be involving in eating, drinking and other seasonal activities :)

However, I will soon be starting a test campaign with a multi-nation conventional Earth start (which is the reason for the new themes). No AI apart from shipping lines as I haven't even looked at the AI changes yet and they will be considerable, including new automated ship design.

I am playing a campain with swedish names. Will it be compatible with the new database / theme ?

The new themes will require a database upgrade release (very likely v5.60) and existing campaigns are always lost in a DB upgrade. However, if your existing campaign is going well then there is no need to upgrade.

Sure. You need three files called Rank.txt, System.txt and Class.txt. Each file should have one name per line. You need at least six naval ranks for Rank.txt (and can send four ground forces ranks separately in the email if you wish), I would suggest at least 30 class names for Class.txt and maybe 80-100 system names (or more if you prefer) for System.txt
