Title: The Rules

Conventional start
No Invaders, the other pair of the unholy trio will exist however, and Invaders may get turned on at a later time
No other NPRs at creation, activated ones still available.
No real stars
Overhauls and fleet training required.
No jump gates

Empires will start with 500 million pop and whatever starting facilities that gives us. I will also give each empire the TN tech research right off the bat so that you can all start doing real research right away.

This is an open game, if others feel like joining as the game is progressing I can write them in easily enough, if someone wishes to drop out they can but it would be nice if they found someone to run their empire for them, if not then I can do it.

Additionally, it has been asked of me what happens if a faction wishes to grab more of the unclaimed territory.
I am currently thinking that if that happens the other factions may react fearing a shift in the balance of power, but also those currently living there may object, and who knows? There may even be some Invader holdouts.

As far as rewards go, I would SM an empire with a population and give it some defenses, winning would get whatever facilities are located there, don't go expecting shipyards or anything though, but the wealth from conquering a pop might make things worthwhile, though no one is exactly hurting for cash as of yet.

More stuff!

We are starting to get close to shipbuilding now and people have been talking to me about what level of detail they should give me for design, so I figured I'd just put some copypasta from a reply I sent one of you guys just a bit ago.

So far as design goes, I have to research components of course but nothing else, As far as what details I need for designs, I don't really need much, think of it as putting a contract out to your design firm, give me an idea of what you want and I'll create something.

For example if you want a geo survey ship, you could design one on your end using your own copy of aurora and send it to me, or you could just say "I want a geo survey ship based on commercial engines (or naval, this is just an example) and a fuel supply sufficient to operate for a year." Then leave the details to me.

If you have naming themes you want then those would be good to send though, if left to my own devices I'll likely assign some worker type name to things like freighters and such, for warships I might use European military name, or take examples from existing navies.

I will use pretty generic names for components unless you want me to get creative or send me a list of examples, obviously we'll be designing a lot of components through this game so themes might be better than a comprehensive list.
