Second Outbound Flight - Background and Setup
« on: July 02, 2017, 02:53:33 AM »
So this is based on the Star Wars universe, where now a second Outbound Flight has been sent under the orders of the Emperor to push the boundaries of the galaxy.
Using a prototype drive imbued with Sith energies the Second Outbound Flight has successfully exited the galaxy and entered a new one. Unfortunately, the drive, due to its instability, died.

Stuck in a system they now name Holson, the new colony lands on the closest habitable planet.

---

SHIPBOARD AI:
Successful jump using Imperial Hyperspace Project I92, also designated "Second Outbound Flight".
System reached is extragalactic uncharted territory, now designated Holson system.
Communications with Coruscant have been lost due to being out of range from the nearest Imperial Holonet beacon.

I've always found Imperial Doctrine is a terrible fit for Aurora game mechanics, but that might just be me doing it wrong. I hope this continues so I can see if there are any good ideas I can 'borrow'.  ;)

I forgot to say, I completely agree with the above. This does look a cool premise.

yep, that's why I said how blasters appear to short circuit in this universe.

also the fact that this is an offshoot of the Empire could allow me to work more freedom without being overly constrained by the Emperor's doctrine

still trying to find time to play though :/
