Longest/Craziest officer name

I started a new game where one scientist's name was so long you couldn't read it all from the research tab.

"Antigonos of Magnesia on the Siphylum"

I can't decide it that's the coolest or stupidest name I've every seen... Possibly both.

I think Antigonos is a dude who lives in a fancy town called Magnesia which happens to be build next to the river of Siphylum.

What name system did you use to generate that name? I've only used the US and English themes before in my games. Because names generated from others i've tried prieviously were laughably poor.

I always look fondly at my officer list with Colonel Chiquita and Captain Tobacco.

But I can really recommend the Russian, Chinese, Japanese and many other commander themes. It's true that some themes are, uh, interesting, but there's just as many fitting ones.

I was so oustanded by his ability for scientific aptitude I Knighted him :)

Oh goodie.   I usually use US or some such, but for my latest game I've decided to use Greek (started last night and have not had the chance to look at the officers yet  ;D )

For a while now cast members of LOST have been joining the navy, josh halloway was killed in an accident :(

Most of my names are relatively normal but I have had James Bond and Pete Townsend in my navy before....
