Creating populations of a designed species
« on: June 10, 2012, 09:13:08 AM »
I've been playing as a meritocracy where ability and adaptaion is praised above every thing else but the species that i've developed and researchedaren't showing up, i have 2 genetic modification facility's on earth but no idea how to use them to create my new "Martians". Any help would be appreciated. :-[

You'll probably want more than 2, but you want to go to the environment/GMC screen of the colony with the centres and select the desired species from the drop down list at the bottom (under "Genetic Modification - Select Species"). This should then create a new colony on the planet of the desired species and slowly convert population from the first into population for the second.

Note, however, that this will give you "unrest increasing due to minority status" interrupts every tick, which can be very annoying (steve has fixed this for 5.7)
