Mainenance

Quick question: Does Aurora handle repair caused by weapon damage different to damage which is handled by normal maintenance?

I understand that the info in the ship designer gives me the component with the highest maintenance need. Let's say for example 450 MP. So if I want to maintain a problem in that module I would need to equip the ship with at least 450MP, so it can be "auto-repaired" when the maintenance problem occours.
And if I read correctly, if that module gets damaged by enemy weapons fire, I would need 900 MP to be able to repair it in field.

That correct or am I misreading?

Note that if the ship does not have 450 MSP to repair the module via auto-maintenance, it is destroyed and now repairing via damage control requires 900 MSP just like if it had been destroyed by enemy fire.

It the first case, it is not so much that the component is destroyed and repaired for 450 MSP, but rather that the repaired before failing completely, hence the 'half-price' repair.
