How can i add Armor to a design?

Can t figure out how i can add more Armor to a vessel in the design menu. By the racial components is no armor available but in the class componets there is some Armor on it. Thanks for help

Armor (and crew quarters) aren't added as components, but as a target level and the design will automatically add what's needed. If you're in the class design screen above the design specs there should be "Armor Rating" and "Deployment Time" with green numbers after them, changing the number will auto-add armor and crew quarters to reach the desired levels.
