Is there a way to add more conditions for medals?

I don't think so, I have found that having multiple conditions for medals results in only the top one awarding the medal automatically but perhaps someone more experienced might know more

You can add more granularity for existing conditions if you feel like editing the DB. For example, you could have conditions for destroying 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, ... tons of ships instead of the default increments.

However, you cannot add entirely new conditions to the game, e.g., something like "Command three ships" is not possible. Only variations of the existing conditions are possible.
