1st January 2041 In the Emperors New Year’s speech ha announces that he will not take over his father’s place as governor of Earth, he will stay in space for some time more but first he will marry a fellow officer Captain Cynthia Marksman, they will get married on the 1st of July this year, he end his speech by taking an old quote from an old Swedish king.

Charles XII King of SwedenAfter the speech many wonder by the last part, but most think it has to do with his father’s assassination, that he will not start a war on Mars because of 1 man’s doing or perhaps several men’s part in his father death
There have been rumours about the woman in question, but the old emperor wouldn´t give his consent.
10th January 2041 Due to the death of the late Emperor some scientific research were finished during the time of mourning, so on this day several new discovery’s was announced.

13th February 2041 on the water planet in Ross 128 the U-boat “Nautilus” are prepared to descend to the submerged city, after 10 minutes of descent the crew of the U-boat can see the goal, then disaster struck, while getting close to the outermost building, the boat seems to shudder and then drops uncontrolled to the bottom, where it hits the ground. On the surface the rest of the expedition wonders why the first boat hasn’t reported in again. After about 1 hour of no contact, the second boat “Argo” descend into the depth, after reaching the bottom about 1 km from the outermost buildings they get a faint transmission from the first sub. “
This is Nautilus, we have one dead and 3 hurt members of the team, our situation is dire, we need an air, but do not get within 500 meters of the outer most building, there is an air bubble that will let you throe, but if you comes from above you will fall to the ground, as we did.” " We need your help now, air is leaking out of the sub faster than we can patch it up, we are in a dire situation down here" This is repeated every minute. Argo tries to establish contact with Nautilus, but no one answers.
After Argo settles down on the bottom, two men, Colonel Shibaguchi and Lieutenant Harry Parkin takes on their diving gears and goes out into the depth, they are at a depth of 90 meters so they need special equipment, after leaving Argos they march over to the stricken Nautilus and finds that everyone has died on the sub, 1 due to fall and the other due to that the Nautilus was severely damaged had several big cracks that let in the atmosphere. It seems that the reserve oxygen was trapped behind a collapsed bulkhead and after that the bodies had been transferred to Argos it went up again.
(Note. I seem to lose my personel to deadly accidents too often, well it flavours it a bit but some time they are a bit of a pain in the back… Well had to kill them all in the end. 
)15th February 12:00:00 Argos is down again, but this time they have several prebuilt houses that will be connected by tubes, 4 will be place outside the “barrier” and one inside, this way enables all personnel to have an easier access to the city. Sins the first team died there is only one team investigating the city, this is really not a problem due to the fact that it will take years until we are able transport both engineers and troops to the place.
20th March 2041 Earth, Today our first divisional HQ are trained, the name is 1st Divisional Headquarters and are given the following brigades 1st, 2nd, 3rd Assault Brigades and 3rd Mobil Brigade, Kurohiko Takeshi is given the task to train the 4 brigades to act as one unit.
20th March 2041 There is a growing concern in the general staff that Earth is not defended as well as it should, the defence fleet is ok for what it is built to do, but when it’s out in the great unknown Earth will be open for an attack. There will be a project called Spica started in the next 5 months and also we are going to start a planetary defence centre here on earth, Sveaborg.
The Sveaborg class are to be built on Major planets like Earth and Mars, the Gibraltar class is to be prebuilt on Earth and then transported to frontier worlds

This design is classed as a Planetary Defence Centre and can be pre-fabricated in 5 sections27th April 2041 Ross 128 Today we got the breakthrough we all been waiting for in the ruins on Ross 128-A II have been fully surveyed by the Ippitsusai Shizuyo Xenologist Team. The alien race which inhabited the planet has been identified as the Jolfa Dominion and their language and symbology have been translated. We thought first this place had some connection with Mars but soon that was excluded and after finding a working computer we managed to have a look on the aliens that once lived here. They didn´t look like us more like a cross between a strawberry and an octopus. We also found out that this city were built in the tropical region of the planet some 24000 years ago, the planet were to 75% cowered by ice then, but global warming thawed the ice and that meant rising sea levels, the inhabitants to flee to higher grounds, settlements after settlements were swallowed by the sea and in the end when their last city was about to be drowned a young scientist managed to build a shield around the city, and a large part of the surrounding countryside.
But soon it was discovered that they couldn’t live under the sea level and they seem to have vanished, this were some 10000 years ago, they gave the city to anyone that needed it, but also a warning, the shield that keeps out the water will collapse one day, unless a better power source can be found. What we have found out it seems they are using a similar design as our pebble bed reactor…
There are some 690 abandoned installation in the city, sadly we can’t check them yet due to the constraints of no travel to Ross 128

20th June 2041 Today the admiralty announced the latest warship of the Empire. The General Rommel Light command cruiser is to give our fleets the command and control they sourly need, it’s bigger than General Le Gaulle class and faster. Much of the extra weight have gone into better armour, more engines, spare parts and more importantly, 4 times the fuel than the De Gaulle class have. There is also a discussion of a command variant for the FF class, but sofar nothing is planned.

21st September 2041 Today the startling news arrive that there is a structure orbiting the 1st planet of Lalande 21185. It seems to be a wreck and it is estimated to be around 800 tons, so it’s smaller than anything we are using, we will send a ship and investigate.

14th October 2041 On Earth the construction of a large Financial Centre complex is completed. This will raise the income by 407 MC, or a total of 7% of our projected budget. We might start a second complex in Japan next year, for now we are in the green but as soon as we need to build something extra we go into red almost at once

14th November 2041 The supply of Uridium on Sol-A Asteroid #162 has been exhausted
14th November 2041 12:16:41,Sol, A Pebble Bed Reactor Type 1.5MYoule exploded on New Brunswick, captain Lieutenant commander Stephanie Holt and 79 crew members were killed in the explosion and the following fire that raged throe several sections of the 106 meter long ship, luckily the blaze that followed were all in areas affected by decompression and they were soon in vacuum. Most of the dead were recovered but 19 bodies were either incinerated or blown of ship. An investigation will start as soon as the ship reaches Earth, all military ships are recalled to Earth, pending the investigations report.

The design have also changed a bit so now it will are at 16000 tons to.

1st August 2042 A team on Earth led by Mason Bird has completed research into SAAB Type 0.8 Military Ion Engine, this engine will increase our speed by some 34% but it will be a massive program to rebuild all our ships to the new engine type, for the moment there will be only one rebuilding and that is the wounded New Brunswick FF, but for the moment NB are in a geo synchronous orbit around Earth, until a yard can be committed to its cause
6th October 2042 the first Discovery II is built and is sent to Ross 128 to investigate for wormholes.
Discovery II has an advanced jump engine that will take itself to the other side of a wormhole.
