My fun is seeing you guys have a good time. I am a strange man. And I am accustomed to a GM role. I will edit the poll for one or two days a week, if more then two people strongly object to 2 days, then we will make it one day a week for now.

I don't mind either way, I'm flexable, though I do spend a lot of time with my horses and training but I can usually get things done in time. Also, is there anything we can do to improve your enjoyment of gming? Cuzz this is a lot of fun for me but it should be fun for you too.

Something like this would work for me too, though I imagine I have a fairly large amount of free time compared to most of you.

It doesn't necessarily have to be once a week, I think?

So as long as we can have set times for when our orders have to be in and not sudden changes in those times, I'm quite fine with it.
This means for me that a schedule of say, tuesday and saturday, would be fine, too, as long as there wouldn't be any sudden changes to it.

My apologies FGRaptor if the speed has not suited you and the change in deadlines. I had hoped people just visited the forums once a day just to view the deadline. I guess this was not possible

I am unsure how all the players  wish to proceed. I am sure some of you wish every day others once a week.
For me as a GM one day a week is fine, but it does only mean 52 game years in a year.

Also you are correct set times would be better for the players and me. My reasoning for running things fast was an expectation that people wanted this faster. I was receiving most orders from player 1-2 days after post.

As for being out of the game I think that is far from the truth, without given anything away I think you are in a very good position. Each faction has strengths and weaknesses, as well as different direction.

I had taken this effort on for the players enjoyment, the enjoyment to myself is fairly minimal. So as players if your not enjoying it then the game is not progressing well.

Please feel free to express your thought below. Constructive and ideas are always better then destructive.

I just thought about quitting today because the game is progressing way too fast. It was "okay" when it was a deadline every week, because then I knew what time I had. Now the deadlines suddenly change and get shorter and shorter. That is just crazy. I have too many important deadlines in real life that I need to keep and I don't want to have to put a forum RPG on that list as well. I was playing this as a form of enjoyment, not disappointment and time management.

So as long as we can have set times for when our orders have to be in and not sudden changes in those times, I'm quite fine with it. I do feel however that I am already out of the game since I couldn't send in my last two orders. The first was a day late and then it was suddenly a deadline yesterday? Even though I expected this Friday again.

Hey no big, in hind sight I kinda prefer 1 year turns anyway just simply that allows for more in depth orders later.

I found out tonight two years is way to much for me, also the number of orders or lack of orders is doing my head in for 2 years. So it back to one year turns, it just too much I started at 5pm and it is now 1am and only just finished turns.

Two years would be good. Perhaps even three as every time I failed to cover a certain order you just made the best with what was available instead of just not doing it.

Personally, i dont mind doing multiple years, expecially in the current state as theres not much overly going on or that we CAN do more importantly, and i feel resonably confident that i can provide a set of orders that will cover basicly everything. I dont know for anyone else but i have access to my email almost 24/7 in that i have my phone with me always, if something comes up during the turn that you need clearification, you can always email me and not have to bother stopping the turn list. If its later at night i can usually get back right away. As i said, this is for me probably not for anyone else :P But ya 2 years per turn is ok with me.

After this Friday, I go back to work, I am not sure at this stage if it will reduce turned from 2 times a week down to 1 time a week. I hope not.

I am also unsure if people like the rapid pace the game has been going or are finding it difficult? Need your thoughts?

The levels of what is happening from player to player varies, some players have a heap of action/orders others a dream big dreams and not much progress.

So what if we vote 5 years and critical events happen?
A good question my thought are if there is any player to player action then that 'year end' the turn is stopped. Or any new hostile action alien, otherwise I aim for what ever doctrine a player decides.

I prefer 2 turns a week?
If so I am hoping I can keep pace when I go back to work, unfortunately my role of director of a tiny company and being in computer support can get crazy, but rest assure I would never taken this on if a) I could not do a minimum of 1 turn a week b) I felt reasonable confident I could do 2.
