Panop. I have aurora1 aurora2 and aurora4 they are all the same files except the mdb, that way there is never any way of getting them mixed up.
So my aurora4 is the community one and move file in and out of it, I would recommend anyone to do it this way as there is to much risk in overwriting.

From what I can figure out, I was going to load up one of the multiplayer DBs to set up my orders for the next turn, so I copied my personal game to my back up folder then downloaded the multiplayer DB from Dropbox, however I think the copy I made was of the DB for the other multiplayer game, so that overwrote the old back up I had in the folder, and voila! No more save.

And I shouldn't play my own games at the same time as two multi player games, I appear to have lost my save as well as the back up somehow, I shall restart it at some point.

Pretty much as the title suggests, I will be posting my thoughts on motivations of the powers in my campaign here, and welcome input from others on any portion of the story.

So far I have tried my best to make no side "the good guy" as well as balance strengths and weaknesses of the factions. The Empire has plenty of people and real estate, but is mineral starved. The Federation has lots of minerals, but will be unable to make full use of them unless it can find more space to expand, additionally the Empire military is slightly larger than the Federation meaning if other options don't open up the Empire will consider striking for the outer planets, the Federation in turn knows this, and knows that if opportunities to expand don't turn up, it may need to consider a preemptive attack on the Empire to prevent defeat.

Both have seriously flawed leaders. This amused me because the game gave them to me, one is a bit crazy, the other is kinda an asshat.
