I don't have an issue with you creating templates. Although make sure the page you're planning on adding one to doesn't already have what you're looking for. For example, I've already created a navbox template for Installations.
Also, I'm not sure what the policy is, but I'd love to grab a few more templates from Wikipedia like {{see also}} and the like. However, I'm not in the mood to play template A needs Template B which needs Template C.

(eg. a menu for weapons, installations, etc.)
