Hello, i got i problem i just started playing aurora for the first time, but I encountered a bigger problem, the numbers in the mining tab behave weird. my mining rate only displays the first digit as soon as it reaches 1000, my resources quantity is limited to the first 3 digits. In my minerals tab in the system map the same thing as well as not displaying any information about accessibility. When i add an engine to a ship design the entire summary gets replaced with class name hull type and a number. Can anyone help me ?

It sounds like this might be related to your system's decimal separator, you need it to be set to comma full stop will cause errors. I'm not sure where you would find this setting in windows.
-
do you mean "you need it to be set to comma. full stop will cause errors"?
-
Yes, btw the option is under regional and language settings of windows control panel.
-
Okay, changed that setting now, but now i get an error 3077 in CheckCrewMorale, and my game just crashed due to another syntax error (Komma)
-
Indeed, the system's decimal separator is a Requirement (http://aurorawiki.pentarch.org/index.php?title=Download_%26_Install#System_Requirements). Assuming that you set it correctly i doubt that the later issue is related.

It is the other way around. The decimal separator should be a period (full stop). Same as UK/US.

but now i have the problem again that i had in the beginning. numbers getting cut off after the decimal.
BTW why do i have to enter a Captcha everytime i post something?
-
Probably because your post count is low. I didn't have to pass a captcha to post this message. Erik has implemented a handful of anti-spam measures, which tend to go away once you've posted enough, although the captcha is new since I signed up for the forums.

okay thank you for the information, maybe i will break the required post count with this thread alone because so far, i went from digits getting cutoff due to something, to changing decimal separator to comma to get the missing information back but causing the game to crash. to changing the decimal separator back to full stop and getting the digit cutoff back
-
great i figured out what caused it. apparently windows allows you to have the same symbol assigned to multiple things, which lead to the fact that i assigned full stop as decimal separator but also as the symbol for digits groups
-
Once again I gave incorrect information :(
Decimal separator should be stop, and digit grouping should be comma.
Your problem is fixed then?
