The Starfire List is now at:

http://mead.csua.berkeley.edu:1337/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/starfire

But if you're going over there hoping to find anything on this topic, you're pretty much wasting your time.

What Shinanygnz said is pretty much it.  Frankly, I've been a little surprised that there wasn't more buzz from the comment.

Thanks - it's more along the lines that every year or so I make a half-hearted try to track the silly thing down and this motivated me to make another (apparently succesful!!) try.

Of course, on the flipside, a Marvin bashfest certainly wouldn't be productive either.

I agree, even though said bashfest would be extremely satifying for us 3R players.  :D

Yeah, me too.  I figured to keep my mouth shut as Marvin said it was an Oops that should have been private and also not to prejudice any deal by any comments the potential purchaser might read.

Stephen

It's also possible that the potential purchaser might find the lack of comments seeming like the people have lost interest in 3e or are (in a virtual sense) shrugging their shoulders, etc.  Of course, there may not be many 3e people left on the starfire list, so maybe silence on the part of a bunch of 4e people says something different.

I guess that it comes down to this... When all there is, is silence, all you can do is try to interpret the silence.  But when people are commenting, you at least have their words to interpret.

Of course, on the flipside, a Marvin bashfest certainly wouldn't be productive either.

Where is the Starfire list?  I just tried majordomo@csua.berkeley.edu and got back an "unknown user" error.

Thanks,

Yup, Fred wants everything top secret, so I have to abide by it I guess. I was just bursting to tell SOMEONE though ;)
