Late Game Destroyer

Late stage destroyer.  At this point, I have an extremely large empire and logistics system, so BP and such is not as big of a concern.

This thing is very lightly armored, shields are ok. It is a lot faster than my photonic drive ships.
The hangar with the scout fighter is nice
It seems very lightly armed compared to the builds I do.

You say you have a good logistics system but for some reason have 300bn range on your combat ship. My designs would be considered excessive at 120bn range.
Maintenance life is ok I think, I personally prefer 2 years minimum for capital ships.

Although I personally don't like mixing beams and missiles on a single ship it does make this ship a good lone wolf, especially considering it has a scout fighter that can spot things for missiles.

Interesting choice to have size 4 missiles being launched from (I presume) size 6 launchers.
You might consider making the javelins and polearms a bit slower for more warhead. Especially the javelin.

All of this is irrelevant though because you have ECM 100 which renders this ship almost completely immune to shenanigans in the absence of enemy ECCM.

Ah that makes a lot of sense - I assumed them to be beam fighters for some reason

I should also clarify that my remark regarding your ship speed was less of a criticism and more of a comparison between the 18000 speed my photonic drive ships have since I haven't encountered any NPRs yet that can match that speed and racial tracking guarantees 25k tracking speed anyways. The main advantage of having slower ships is that you can fit much more weapons on them.

Very true. I had dropped the research coefficient down a ton, so my hope is that I will run into some high end NPRs. Haven't seen any in a little while.

The ship is extremely fast. It was, in part, a desire to see how fast I could make something and still be viable. Same with the mixed weapons. I am rethinking it though; part of the reason I posted.
