Designer's Blurb:
---------------------
--- This is a long-range vessel utilizing my Courier concept. If you didn't read the Maiden-Class post, a Courier-Type as I'm defining it in this concept is a Jump-Capable ship for ferrying ammo along with Maintenance Supplies or Fuel to missile-based warships. Mine are 500-Tons and outfitted for Ammo and Maintenance supplies, to make them more Hangar friendly. This is the Marathon-Class, a slightly higher tech Courier with a heck of a lot of range. A full year of deployment means that the Marathon can deliver kit across several systems without resupply itself. Five spare berths let it tote around a Survey Team if you want too. This Courier is very focused on Carrier, Deep Strike, Raiding or Infiltration styles of doctrine, giving a missile heavy fleet very long legs with regards to Maintenance Supplies and very deep bins with regards to ammo. That's really about it, it ferries supplies. Warships that want to benefit will ideally mount at least a pair of Boat Bays, one basic Damage Control Module and enough MSP to damage control repair it's most expensive component at least once. Carrier-based ships and Box Launcher focused fleets will probably have to change that up. YMMV
This craft uses the following techs:
- Ceramic Composite Armor
- 0.5 Fuel Consumption
- Additional Maintenance Storage(Conventional Start Only)
- Fuel Storage - Tiny
- Ion Drives
- Jump Drive Efficiency - 10
- Fuel Storage - Large(Alternate Version Only)
- Engineering Spaces - Fighter
