Can't find "New Class button"

Very new player learning Aurora.
 Reading the tutorial I need to "create a new class.  Press New in the bottom left hand corner. "
I can't find a button for new class.  Only 'new hull'. . .  Is anyone able to help?

Are there two rows of buttons at the bottom of the Class window?

If not, then the window is too tall for your screen resolution. You need 1280x1024 to see all the window.

You have the option of playing in Reduced Height mode, which only requires 1280 x 800. This can be switched on using the option in the Game Parameters menu on the main menu bar.

Question about reduced height mode:
In the F12 screen, when I have a contact selected and the Follow command selected, the distance box doesn't show up. 

I have to turn off reduced height, reopen the F12 screen, key in the command, turn on reduced height, reopen the F12 screen and try again.
