Title: "Unable to Carry Out Orders" "Carrying Out Secondary Orders"

I have set my explorers to first survey jump points and then survey planets but whenever the finish doing the first I keep getting messages stopping time saying that they are both unable to carry out their survey mission and that they are going to do their secondary mission of surveying planets.

Why would the game interrupt me when a ship is doing exactly what I asked it to do? Is there a way I can get it to stop without never getting notified that the ship has completed its JP survey AND planet survey?

nope. there's no good way around this. it is easier to do either grav or geo until it's done then switch over, or use different ships.
