Just got this tech given to me be a friendly npr, I am guessing it is one of the advanced ruin tech like advanced lasers etc. However it seems as though I cannot do any research on this tech. Currently I am able to built a compressed fuel storage component that is identical to a standard fuel tank with the exception of fuel amount, the standard offers 50k and the advanced offers 75k.
I can see a great use for this component on some of my larger ships but I was hoping to research smaller versions for use on FAC and fighters. Is this possible or do you only ever get the basic 75k model?

That's still pretty useful for fighters, though, if you build dedicated fighter-tankers to accompany your strike groups.
That might be my favorite tech in the whole game. Congratulations.

That is the Holy Grail of recovered tech right now. Invaluable after the 6.x engine changes. As far as I know, there is no other way to research other variants, but it still incredibly useful.
