Fleet Arm of Sol, Year 75

 --- It's late, I'm going to bed, I'll fluff this one tomorrow... :)

 --- Well, it's not tomorrow, but I'm going to fluff this now. The Bishop -CV is the Jump Tender / Force Projection arm of the fleet, 80 kilotons worth of fighter craft give it a hefty punch. The Intrepid Battlecruisers serve as the Carrier's bodyguards, while the Diligent Frigates help to thin out any missile spam that might overwhelm the rather formidable beam PD of the two Intrepids. The Troubadour Frigate Leader pulls double duty as Jump Tender for the AMM escorts, and auxiliary passive sensor ship for the fleet. The Behemoth Assault Transport does what it says on the tin, it transports the assault force and uses it to assault the enemy's planets. The whole idea is simply to move to an enemy world, establish an area of control, then invade. The vessels need not be fast to catch a planet, and with the beam PD of the fleet, the enemy will need to come to you... right into your waiting guns. The missiles are there to destroy kiting beam enemies.

 --- A carrier vessel designed as a joint venture between Laske International (Pronounced: LAS-kee) & Zingarelli Naval (Pronounced: ZING-ga-relli), the Bishop -CV is built off the hull of Laske's tried and true Bishop Class Freighter. The vessel houses an impressive forty kilotons worth of strike craft, with a further two kilotons worth of Jump-Capable scout ships. To tend these ships, the Bishop -CV carries enough fuel to sortie it's strike craft twice with enough left over to sortie it's scouts four times. Further the Bishop -CV is furnished with enough magazine space to sortie it's entire compliment of strike craft up to three times. The vessel is provisioned with enough comestibles and fuel for an eight month tour of duty, and is stocked with enough maintenance supplies to ensure the continued operation of itself and it's fighter craft for quite some time.

 --- The Bishop -CV is propelled by a trio of nine kiloton Magneto-plasma Drives that themselves are derived from a commercial design that Laske International had developed for the Bishop -TT. The T9000-100T Magneto-plasma Drive, Class 2160/0-75M is a product of the newly formed Laske-Zingarelli merger and has an output 33% greater than the commercial drive that sired it. Likewise, Laske-Zingarelli collaborated to create the vessel's enormous fifteen kiloton Jump Drive, able to move both the ship itself and a pair of Intrepid Class Battlecruisers. The T15000 Jump Drive, Class 150/3-50M is currently the pride of the Laske-Zingarelli Corporation and the largest Jump Drive ever conceived of to date. The propulsion systems of the Bishop -CV allow the vessel to achieve a top speed of 2,160 km/s and offer it a round trip range of twenty-five billion kilometers when it's fuel is at the reserve level.

 --- The Bishop -CV is clad in over six and a quarter kilotons of armor, arranged using a rather unorthodox scheme. Each of it's decks are sub-divided into armored modules and set into an armored structural cradle. This is then ensconced in an armored double hull with a double thick outer, forming not only a spaced armor scheme, but allowing for ease of maintenance and repair. This scheme also incorporates a sectioned layout with multiple internal bulkheads, while the double hulled shell is itself sub-divided with solid barriers to help prevent the leakage of atmo from battle damage. A quartet of Zingarelli Naval's "Angel" CIWS provide a modicum of Point Defense while a basic, but comprehensive sensor suite provide both situational awareness and enhanced command and control for it's many parasites.

 --- The Bishop -CV sports a dedicated control area for Engineering as well as a dedicated bridge for the handling of it's parasite craft. Dedicated Cargo Shuttles, a Refuelling Systems and an Ordinance Transfer System ensure that the Bishop -CV can properly service it's parasites. The magazines of the Bishop -CV are arranged with a Class 540 on either side, fed through a bulkhead by a larger Class 720 magazine. These four magazines serve to feed the central handling magazine, itself a Class 600 type, which is used by the flight deck to re-arm it's fighter craft. The presence of specialized bulkheads between each of the vessel's five magazines ensures that ammunition can be handled as safely as possible. The magazines themselves are also armored above and beyond the armor afforded to each module, with the Class 720 sporting a five layer scheme, the Class 540 sporting a four layer scheme and the Class 600 featuring an impressive ten layer scheme.

 --- This vessel serves as the Jump Ship of the fleet, as well as the long range strike arm, with each of it's Crusader Fighter-Bombers able to carry it's payload out to range of eight and a half billion kilometers. Furthermore, it's Marathon Jump Scouts provide the fleet with the means to probe enemy Jump Points and ascertain the composition of their defenses.

That engine is around 50000 tons, right? C# jump ship can be smaller that the maximum of the engine so in this case I would say, put it on dedicated ship.

50,000 tons? Hardly, the T15000 Jump Drive is Tons 15,000.

Still... that is 72k RP to research that engine... allot of RP for that tech level.

With the Intrepid, am I missing something regarding weapon tracking speed? I see a 4k km/s ship speed with a 5k km/s weapon and BFC tracking speed. I though ship speed would limit effective tracking speed to 4k km/s?

 - Yep, which means a Reduced Tracking Speed FCS is always useless. :)
