Title: Curiosity landing "Life"
Post by: Mel Vixen on August 05, 2012, 06:45:15 PM
Curiosity will land in approx 6hours from time i am writing this. Anyone who wants to see the landing "Life" can watch it here http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/multimedia/nasatv/ . I hope it goes all well since it would be a great step forward for the world. Even though Nasa has the hat for this mission Esa and many other multinational programs (and people) take part in this with Hardware contributions on the rover and Communication services, so i can say this today: I am proud of what Humanity united and cooporating accomplished.

:D it has a size. 0.1 Radio-thermal reactor. It takes a while till the strength 3 Capacitator is loaded ;)

But yes it landed and everything worked according to plan. One of the first pictures can be found here (https://twitter.com/NASA/status/232352483492630529/photo/1/large). Now on to finding Life on Mars!

I'd rather have they found a random ruin. . .   :)

Of course without disturbing the Robotic Soldiers. . . . .    ;D

Are you kidding? An interplanetary war would unite the earth and get every economy churning into high gear! And since we're destroying automatons, there's no pesky moral issues to worry about!

Frankly, we can't afford not to declare war on the hypothetical Martian robots!

You know the politicians would find a way to bugger it up. And some hippy treehugger will say something stupid like "Autonomous killer robots from Mars need love too!"
