Need advice and critics on my missile designs

So you help me a lot about designs but i still need some advice for missile so here is my 2nd generation missile... in the last topic , they told me that the recommended range for missile is btw 100M and 150M Km and so i created a new one, but i don't know why but if my MFC has a range of 200M Km they can engage only at sometimes 150M Km and 130M Km , my missile has also a range of 200M Km no its not the problem , that's why i expanded my missile range if the designed MFC can (on paper) fire at 100M Km and in a battle only at 30 or 40M Km that's close...

Because MFC act like active sensors when targeting a contact smaller than its rating, with reduced range.

Looks like a missile. Only thing to note is that damage penetration is most efficient in squares (4, 9, 16, etc). You might also be wasting space with excess warhead space that doesn't add more damage. To check this take the desired damage and divide that by your damage-per-msp tech, then compare that to your current msp in warhead. Also, what size is that engine and is it max power boosted?

Yeah its max power boosted , btw x3.5 and x4 i think , the engine size is 2 MSP. and so i need to reduce my WH in like 9 or 4 ? that's complicated x) for MFC , the resolution is 100 and that's mean 5000 t but , the ships , i fight against are way more heavy than that like btw 18k and 25k t , i already know that MFC act like active sensors

No, just informing you for future missiles. Damage between squares is still useful to sandblast armor instead of trying to force your way down.

Then most likely the enemy have ECM equiped. To counter this, add some ECCM and make sure to set your FC to use them.

I've been fooling around with the web app and spread sheet located here to optimize the missiles.  its very nice to have all the work flow on one screen

But when using them, your missiles all start to seem the same and you miss out on some nice things (sensor missiles, mirv busses, etc).

They act like weapon ? ECM and ECCM... When you say FC you mean Beam Fire Control ?

true, but i am just still learning the game myself and am trying to keep things fairly simple
