Survey location point cost

In Galaxy view one can display "survey location point cost" for each system.

So is this the price of each gravsurvey location in that system?
How is that value calculated? Does it depend on type of star(s)? Planets and other bodies? Jump points? System ID? Position in the game galaxy (distance from player home planet)?

Yes, that is the number of survey points that are required for each survey location.  I don't remember seeing the exact formula but I think that it mostly depends on the mass of the main star in the system.
