Shipping Lines

For once I have relied on shipping lines to do the heavy transporting of my installations. No problem there, until about 6 months ago when freighters ended all of their runs with move to trade location at Earth... Nothing is done... I tried to Clear orders, but nothing helps. Colony ships are still transporting colonist.

Are they empty? Do you have more than 1 shipping line?

Does Earth actually have any more installations to send?  There's a tab on the F2 screen where you can check.

Not sure what the problem was. Deleted all orders and then restarted. Filled in new orders and now all 5 shipping lines is working for full. Are they doing the orders in the order I made them? If so there might have been a human error... Had some 8 or 9 different orders so if the first one "clogged" the system I could understand.

Basically they don't work on the orders simultaneously they do them one at a time.  I noticed this myself when I had 6 orders one time.  Until they finished moving the infrastructure to venus they didn't move the terraformers from mars to elsewhere even though there was lots of empty ships.

Admittedly I use an older version of the game but I'd expect this would also be true for more modern ones.
