Error 76 and 424
« on: September 11, 2015, 10:16:17 AM »
I am not sure if this belongs here or in the official bugs thread. This issue happens to me almost immediately after installation. Basically, I configure my game and start playing. I am able to advance time with no problem (usually all the way through the entire first year). However, if for example I start in the year 2015, whenever I attempt to advance time till or past January 2017, these errors pop up and I can advance no further. Error 76 comes first, then after clicking "OK" a few times error 424 occurs and it never goes away (one can seemingly hit OK forever).

I am not sure what is causing this, any help is appreciated!

On your install drive, is there a Logs folder? If not, make one. See if the error recurs.

Open Explorer, Click This PC, click your C drive. In the right pane, right click, select New, Folder. Name it Logs.

I assume, that this caused because he is using windows vista or later, and installed in the default location. If so running as admin would also fix that.

I too get this fatal error (error 76 appears multiple times and finishes with Run Time error 76) when I try to launch the System View.   The Quickbooks error notice mentioned below also appears at the beginning of this series of error messages

I added a new folder and named it Logs to both C:/ and to C:/Aurora.   Both of these folders remain empty.   I did this before creating the current game.

Please note that when I launch the game, I am asked to launch Setup. exe to install Quickbooks.   This error appears 4 times and then the System Map appears.

Any help appreciated as now my game crashes everytime I want/need to use the System View.
