New player question

Well, I've followed Steve's tutorials in the Tutorials section up until #5 on Shipbuilding, and when I go to construct one of the ships that I've designed in the Design area (I made the two survey ships proposed in the tutorial, even locked them as SM), it doesn't show up as something that I can build.

(Shoot, sorry about the link.   If you don't wanna follow it, go ahead.   I've tried to make my wording a good substitute, but I'm new to the game as of today.  )

Is there something in the Design screen that I've missed?

Edit: I don't seem to understand the tricks of this.  .  .   Is there something special about the BBCode on this forum? I can't even get it to properly display URLs.   An anti-spam measure, I'd wager?

Makes sense.

Anyone have any clues as to my problem? I've been trying everything I can think of, but the shipyard management screen still shows no available designs to be constructed.  Is there some way to finalise designs so they can be sent to the shipyard?

You see where it says "No Class Assigned"?

Click Task Type, Retool, and select your design. Then it gets fixed.
